The Review
Wanted to get it even before my old hub died on me. Said to be the longest lasting hubs in the market. No doubts about it.

Tried it on road and off-road, performance is great! No chance of missing abit of engagement. Even going up ophir, just step and go. No need to find the proper biting point to start pedalling.

Noisy though, but I like it. Draggy on the road while coasting. You can see the significant speed drop while coasting along a rider using crossmax or XTR. But acceleration wise, CK wins hands-down.

One thing to note: It takes a bloody long time to break it the seals and grease to get it running smoothly. At least 6+ months of regular riding and coasting.

Strengths
Strong, quick-engagement, avaliable in many colours, easy to service(even yourself). POSER value!

Weaknesses
Price abit ex though. Not to mention it's abit draggy while coasting along. Will cause backlash while back-pedalling.

Duration of product used
6 months

Bike Setup
Black GT with silver, anodised blue and red parts

The Review
When a friend told me that he wanted to sell them to me, i was initially quite reluctant to buy it as i have heard how expensive and how draggy they were, and i was looking for a pair of crossmax. Well, now i'm not really grumbling about the price, and i guess he didn't really use the hubs to its full potential. What a pity.

Although draggy on roads, you can tell the difference once you hit the trails. The 72-pawl engagement is so good that i've got no problems climbing (although the problem is more with my legs than anything else :P)

The problems? Buzzing. CKs are reputably one of the more noisy hubs in the market. And my best buddy who cycled with me (he is not into biking) asked me if my hubs needed servicing or what. Hehe. But one good note about the buzz is that it serves as a warning to the people in front, be it at ECP or trails. I guess those who i cycled with used it as a way to determine if i was lost or still behind them. Although irritating at times, it's still very much useful.

Draggy? Just take it as a form of training. :)

Expensive? Think how much you will save over getting a pair of crossmax and maintenance is easier than the crossmax.

I love my chris kings more than anything else now. :)
