Maybe it just I am not used to stumpy. Kind of wish that its is another 1 inch longer so that i can fully grip on it. Anyway, I was swayed by its carbon look and the ergonomical design. ;p

Strengths
Light
Ergonomically shaped
Being a stumpy, its not as extruding.

Weaknesses
Slightly too short to my liking

" Bar Ends, minimialist style. "

Overall Rating
Reviewed on: 28th Jul 2005 from Singapore

The Review
A nifty pair of bar ends for the minimialist looking to add some comfort to his ride. A quick solution to fast aching arms on long road rides or in the trails, however I feel these are unsuitable for trails with thick undergrowth as they increase the risks of overhanging twigs getting entangled with the cockpit. A solution to the slippery finish (especially in the wet) is to wrap blown inner tubes around these barends, increasing the amount of grip and comfort tremendously. A pricey buy considered cheaper alloy alternatives, but a worthy investment on my recent trip up north with little complaints of wrist numbness during the ride.

Strengths
Featherlight carbon fibre construction.

Beautiful, minimialist styling which does not add clutter to the cockpit while providing additional hand positions and leverage on climbs.

Weaknesses
The stickers could have lasted longer.

Crash hazard on tight single trails with thick undergrowth.

Slippery when wet.

A nice pair of bar ends but at a cost.
I think the metal version or others will do, cheaper too.
But i don't think its worth it spending 70 bucks on a pair of bar-ends.

Looks bling. heh.

Weaknesses
Can be scratched.(bo pian)
The CONTROLTECH logo comes off easily.
