The Review
This review is for 32t hardcoat chainring. Not bad but quite costly.

Strengths
Strong langa on ground many time but never chip or bent.
Durable no signs of wear yet
Looks nice. But nice can get even more bling one online.
Large selection of sizes.

Weaknesses
COST. Can get cheaper offerings online. SG have very small range of replacement chainrings.

" Great choice for old school replacement rings "

Overall Rating
Reviewed on: 29th May 2006 from Singapore

The Review
I got these rings because my old M900 XTR rings were worn out, and there's no way to get chainrings in 110/74 BCD. After trying them for 6months, the rings have proven to be very strong and durable, even bashing them onto logs occasionally doesn't bent or break any of the teeth. The anodising is still mostly there after 6months of offroading in all kinds of weather, and shift quality has remained the same since day one. Shifting to bigger rings is still slower than Shimano's stuff, but shifting to smaller rings is no different from Shimano.

Strengths
-Stronger than XTR rings
-Cheaper (since it's near impossible to get
M900 chainrings anyway)
-Comes in many sizes
-Hardcote versions are hard anodised to
improve wear characteristics
-Slickshift rings improve shifting speed
over ordinary aftermarket rings

Weaknesses
-Shifting from a smaller to the next bigger
ring is not as fast as the original XTR
rings
-It initially makes some metallic grinding
noise, but goes away after a few rides.
-Chain lube will somehow stain it into a
horrible colour

" A long wearing alternative to stock rings "

Overall Rating
Reviewed on: 2nd Feb 2006 from Singapore

The Review
Get this if you're looking for an alternative chainring or need to replace yours.

Strengths
I got the Hardcoat Slickshift, and it lives up to its name. Has a ceramic coating that gives it a long wear life and teflon for smooth shifting.

The ring is also lighter than an XT ring, and looks nicely different from it.

Been using it for much longer than I have with the XT ring, and when I take out the XT to compare with the Middleburn, the Middleburn has only minor wear marks!

Weaknesses
Probably the only weakness here is the higher price, but it pays off for itself in the long run.

" Hard wearing, smooth SHIT! "

Overall Rating

The Review
Busted a chainring? wore out your chainrings?

Get these.... better value if you count your miles and you hardly encounter chainsuck(i didnt encounter any at all ever since switching to these even in bad conditions)

Strengths
Smooth, i am not sure why...

Hardwearing, The material used is very good. The teeth do not warp nor bend easily.

No chain suck.

It might be alittle costly compared to other rings but its worth it as it last alot longer(life/price ratio).

Weaknesses
It doesnt shift as well as shimano rings, but they drop gears better.
